General Job Description

To plan, organize, coordinate, prioritize, and manage the Central Service Division of Never-Ending Grace Corporation its functions, programs, services, operations, and activities, including purchasing, receiving, warehousing, storing, mailroom and courier operations.  This includes supervising the warehouse facilities at the Grace Place operation receipt, distribution, delivery, storage, inventory and issuance of supplies, equipment, materials, and miscellaneous items to both the Grace Place and all of the Kingdom Centers throughout the area.  


Education
Equivalent to an associate of arts degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in purchasing, business or public administration or closely related field.  Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is acceptable. Five years of increasingly responsible experience in warehouse operations, storekeeping or a closely related field involving the selection, purchasing, storing, and issuing of a variety of materials and supplies, including at least two years of experience in a supervisory capacity strongly desired.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • The Central Services Director must agree with Never-Ending Grace Corporation’s Purpose, Mission, and Statement of Faith, and adhere to the goals and philosophies of the corporation.

  • Prepare and administer budgets for assigned program areas.

  • Identify and analyze problems, identify possible solutions with consequences of actions and implement recommendations.

  • Evaluate needs and estimate future supply requirements for supplies and other inventory items. Maintain accurate records and controls, including maintaining inventory control of warehouse supplies and equipment.

  • Perform assigned work with speed and accuracy.

  • Relate effectively to people of varied academic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds using tact, diplomacy, and courtesy. Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with those contacted in the course of work. Communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse constituencies within and outside of Never-Ending Grace Corporation.

  • Encourage professional excellence among the staff and promote an organizational culture of customer service, innovation, and quality services.

  • Interpret, apply, and explain complex and technical local, State, and federal policies, laws, regulations, and other legal mandates related to central servicing. Observe and enforce health and safety rules and regulations.

  • Select and recommend the purchase of routinely used materials and supplies. Maintaining a current knowledge of bidding procedures and purchasing operations.

  • Manage a system-wide warehouse operation for the successful receipt, issuance, distribution, delivery, storage and inventory of supplies, equipment, materials, and miscellaneous items by preparing and maintaining a variety of warehouse-related records and reports.

  • Meet schedules and timelines, organizing time and workspace effectively.

  • Operate a variety of equipment including a small truck, forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.

  • Operate office equipment such as computer, printer, calculator, copier, and facsimile machine.

  • Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.

Desirable Qualities

  • Has great planning and organizational skill.

  • Has Interpersonal skills including tact, patience, and diplomacy.

  • Ability to operate computer, peripherals, and software programs, including database management, spreadsheet, word processing and specialized software.

  • Knowledge and effective use of the basic principles and practices of purchasing, risk management, including safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to warehousing and storage. Ability to implement procedures used in a multi-site system-wide warehouse operation involving the receipt, storage, distribution, delivery, inventory and issuance of supplies, equipment, materials, and miscellaneous items. Above average knowledge of principles and procedures of record keeping.

  • Familiarity with computerized warehouse or inventory application programs, as well as equipment and materials used in warehouse operations and inventory control.

  • Above average skills in the use of correct English composition, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.  

  • Practices above average supervisory and training principles.

  • Knowledge of applicable, local, State, and federal policies, laws and regulations as related to central servicing operations.

Compensation
The Central Services Director's salary based on industry standards as well as previous experience will have a starting range between $60,000 and $85,000 per year.  The Central Services Director will also receive the Never-Ending Grace Corporation benefits package (see attached).
